The visit which was organised by the Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) as well as the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) included a stakeholder forum where key parties such as the traders, business community, local political leaders, women traders interacted with the NOC members and discussed their views. Key points that were brought out by the stakeholders included the need to grow trees at the OSBP, how the integrated border management will work, the impact of changes at the border on women traders and how the key border agencies at the border, such as the Police, Immigration and Customs, will ensure that fast movement of goods and people is achieved?
